About

ABOYDBAZAAR

Tracey Boyd's design ethos has no boundaries, moving seamlessly between the worlds of illustration, fashion, homeware and furniture.

BOYD has been designing successfully for over three decades with no formal training.

Her career highlights range from illustrating children's books, working with Spike Milligan and Lily Cole to staging 13 BOYD catwalk shows and winning New Generation Designer of the year at the British fashion awards to designing over 150 pieces of furniture for Anthropologie USA.

With Aboydbazaar she combines her three main passions of travel, design and art into a new chapter.

History

I am a designer for life.

I design constantly, passionately,endlessly.

On a beach, a plane, a napkin.

I can't stay still which might explain my abrupt changes of direction throughout my long career.

I started my womenswear label BOYD out of a need to find clothes that I wanted to wear.

With no formal training except a short stint at Harpers Bazaar, I embarked on what grew to be a fabulously fulfilling career in fashion.

Our first stockist was the legendary Colette in Paris, from there we expanded into many of most beautiful stores in the world including Browns, Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Harrods, Selfridges and Isetan, Japan.

The success of the brand enabled us to open our flagship BOYD shop in the centre of Belgravia, London.

I realised the catwalk was the perfect platform for me to express my love of colour, design and theatre.

BOYD is privileged to have been featured in the very best editorials including WWD, British, Russian and Italian Vogue and dressed the likes of Rachel Weiss, Kirsten Dunst and Alison Goldfrapp amongst others.

Our clothes have featured in films such as "About a Boy" and "Love actually" and our design collaborations with Topshop, Wedgewood and Nokia have lead to a loyal following of global press and buyers with Boyd becoming one of the highlights of London Fashion week.

After 13 years and 11 catwalk shows, I chose to make a major shift in my design journey.

As the fashion world became faster and more disposable I felt the need to have more time for my design process and to work in an area of design with more longevity in mind.

Throughout my career in fashion I can honestly say that my life has been enriched by this fabulous industry.

My giant step into the world of textiles, homeware and furniture four years ago is where I continue to make my dreams into reality.

Furniture

Boyd takes inspiration from the past, present and future, from her fashion and textile background and from the colours and textures of her surroundings to create a unique vision for her furniture collections.

She sets her fearless vision free to wander and explore shapes and combinations that are always unpredictable, subtly feminine and thoroughly contemporary.
